VIDEO

While my primary focus is stills photography, I’m becoming increasingly interested in capturing video footage, especially if it tells a story about a particular species’ behaviour.

Over time will update his page with some of the better video I have captured out in the field.

FLINDERS RANGES WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY

In September 2018, good friend Nicolas Rakotopare and I spent some time in the magnificent Flinders Rangers to photograph wildlife. Although conditions were very dry, we still managed to get some good footage.

A compilation of wildlife footage shot by Nicolas Rakotopare and Craig Greer in the Flinders Ranges (South Australia). We spent 4days in the Flinders Ranges region of the South Australian Outback filming and photographing the wildlife and natural beauty of the area.

Peregrine Falcon

Thanks to a good friend, I’ve been able to get access to a pair of Peregrine Falcons that regularly nest on a private property. Eventually I hope to put together a video that captures the breeding cycle from courting through to chicks fledging. But for now I’ll keep adding some short clips.

I filmed this Peregrine Falcon on a friend's property in late 2018. The male had brought prey in to the female in this clip who helped herself to some of the kill before taking the remainder to the two young chicks in the nest.

TASMANIA, THROUGH THE LENS (2018)

From 15-21 November 2018, Tonia Cochran from Inala Nature Tours and I took group of seven bird photographers to some fantastic locations in Southern Tasmania, including Melaleuca in the South-West National Park to photography the critically endangered Orange-bellied Parrot.

SACRED KINGFISHER

The Sacred Kingfisher (Todiramphus sanctus) is widespread across mainland Australia and less common but present in Tasmania. It mainly forages on land, seeking out prey items like small reptiles such as skins, frogs, dragonflies, bees and other insects. I filmed this nesting pair in late December on a friend's property in the Adelaide Hills. Unfortunately I wasn't around when the chicks fledged but hopefully you'll enjoy the footage I didn't manage to capture.
