How would you like to capture stunning images of Rainbow Bee-eaters as they come in to perch with prey?

In early January I am offering multiple seats in dedicated individual hides to shoot eye-level Rainbow Bee-eaters both perched and in flight against creamy backgrounds with prey like dragon flies, bees and more.

TRANSPORT FROM THE CITY

I will have some seats available in my vehicle which will depart from the city an hour prior to commencement. It will be a case of first in, best dressed (three available each day). Please ensure you also book transport below.

If you don't require transport from the city, I will provide the workshop meeting point once your booking is confirmed.

WORKSHOP DETAILS

5:30am:
Once we arrive at the location, there will be a short orientation session where we talk about the best camera settings for the various types of shots you will be able to achieve from the hide.

The property owner will explain how to identify when the birds are coming in to perch with their prey, and describe other important behaviours so you maximise opportunities for great photos.

5:45am to 9:30am: Shooting Rainbow Bee-eaters in hides.

9:45am: Image review and debrief at local coffee/breakfast venue.

10:30am: Return to city/home.

IMPORTANT: Lenses with a focal length of 400mm and above are recommended for this workshop. Tripods are recommended for large/heavy lenses. If you don't have a suitable camera and/or lens but would like to attend the workshop, please contact me to arrange loan equipment.
