I'm really excited to be working with the fantastic team at Inala Nature Tours on Bruny Island to bring you this photography workshop and tour in Southern Tasmania. Highlights of the tour include a flight to the South West Wilderness to photograph the critically endangered and incredibly beautiful Orange-bellied Parrot, a species on the brink of extinction, a pelagic cruise to photograph albatross and other seabird species, and several days on Bruny Island staying at the beautiful Inala Private Reserve, where all of Tasmania’s endemic bird species can be seen and photographed.
This workshop is suitable for photographers of all levels. Participants will benefit from both group and one-on-one photography and post-processing tuition from Craig and ecological education from a specialist Inala guide. This combination will give you an exceptional experience. You will gain a better understanding of nature photography techniques, a better ability to use your own equipment and an immersion in knowledge of the flora, fauna, habitats and landscapes of beautiful Tasmania. A beautiful photograph is one thing, being able to tell your friends and family about the behaviour and context of the wildlife you have photographed is even more fulfilling.
This tour includes all travel (including the return flight to Melaleuca in the remote SW of the state, and the pelagic boat trip from Eaglehawk Neck), and all accommodation and meals for the duration of the tour.

Getting your photos right in the field should always be your primary goal. But no matter how good your shots look on the back of your camera, to make them shine online and in print you need to understand how to edit, compose and export your images for maximum effect.
This workshop will give you the skills to make your photos ‘pop’ whether you’re posting them online or putting them on a wall.
IMPORTANT: This workshop is based on post-processing using the Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom and Photoshop). A CreativeCloud photography subscription is highly recommended and is quite affordable at only $14.29 per month (AUD). You will need to bring your own laptop, and preferably with Lightroom and Photoshop installed for this workshop. If you don't have a computer to bring, a loan computer can be arranged at a cost of $130 for the day.
PLEASE NOTE: You do not need any prior Lightroom or Photoshop skills to participate in this workshop. You will be learning the workflow I use to edit my wildlife photos in an easy step-by-step process.
